25 Days of Christmas – Day 16 – A Lesson in Generosity

Jeremy and Jace have been saving money for quite a while in order to buy presents for one another. They saved change that we gave them or that they “earned” (and we contributed a bit). Last night they  took their money to Toys R Us. They shopped for one another as only two little boys under six can shop!

Once they picked their gifts, we counted out what was leftover. They had enough to buy one more toy. So we wandered the super hero aisle and talked about how some buys and girls can’t have new toys. We explained that they could pick out a toy to donate. And so…

I am very proud of what my kids have learned about giving this year. That’s what Christmas is about – giving to others as God gave to us.
