After a few hours roaming the toy stores yesterday, Jeremy and Jace wrote their Christmas lists. They consist of requests for Gotham City, Batman, Dinosaurs, and Race tracks. 🙂 They were convinced that Mommy didn’t know how to mail them to the North Pole, so we HAD to call Papa to find out how to get the letters there. Ha!
I was also inspired today by my favorite blog, http://happyhomefairy.com! So we ate candy canes, made candy cane crafts, and talked about the legend of the candy cane. Turned upside down, a candy cane is a J which represents Jesus. Right side up, it is a crook reminding is Jesus is the great shepherd. The red and white colors remind us that His blood washed our sins away to make us as white as snow! It’s important to me that they remember Jesus really is the reason for the season! Check out The Legend of the Candy Cane – FREE Printable! on The Happy Home Fairy page. She also had the great idea to use a foil pan, red paint, a white candy cane cut out, and a toy car to make some great candy canes!
